Cancellations and refunds

Each venue chooses one of three policies. It is shown on the venue's page and again before you pay, and the refund is worked out automatically.

Inside 14 days, the deposit is not refunded.

When the venue cancels

If the venue cancels, or Ahjez cancels the booking, you are refunded in full regardless of the policy or the notice given. We will also help you find another venue for the same time where we can.

What is refunded

A refund returns the amount you actually paid through Ahjez — the deposit, or the full amount where the venue takes payment in full. Anything you agreed to pay the venue directly is a matter between you and the venue.

Refunds are returned to the card you paid with, through Tap Payments. Banks usually take a few working days to show it.

Ahjez's commission is reduced in the same proportion as the refund, so a venue is never left paying commission on money it returned.

No-shows and lateness

If you do not turn up, the booking is treated as cancelled with no notice and the policy applies accordingly.

Arriving late does not extend the slot: the venue's next booking may follow yours.

If something was wrong

If the venue was not as described, or could not let you in, contact Ahjez support with your booking reference. We will take it up with the venue. Where the venue is at fault we will refund what you paid through Ahjez.

Questions about any of this? Contact Ahjez support and a person will answer you.
