Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Ahjez and every booking you make through it. By using Ahjez you accept them.

1. Who we are

Ahjez is operated by Mawjood AI (Commercial Registration 196342-1), Kingdom of Bahrain.

Ahjez is a booking platform. We list venues in Bahrain, show you when they are genuinely free, and take a deposit to confirm your booking. You can reach us through the support page on this site.

2. What Ahjez is, and what it is not

Ahjez introduces you to a venue. It does not own, operate, manage or control any venue listed on it.

When you book, the agreement for the venue itself is between you and the venue. Ahjez is not a party to it. We provide the platform, verify that a venue is a real and licensed business before listing it, take the deposit, and help both sides when something goes wrong.

Venue details — photographs, capacity, amenities, house rules — are supplied by the venue. We check what we reasonably can, but we do not warrant that every detail is accurate or that a venue will meet your expectations.

3. Only verified venues appear

A venue appears on Ahjez only after our team has checked its commercial registration and its right to rent out the place, and only while its listing is approved. A venue cannot add itself.

Verification means we checked that the business is real and entitled to take bookings. It is not an inspection, a safety certificate, or an endorsement of quality.

4. Your account

You must be 18 or older to book. You must give accurate details, including a phone number the venue can reach you on, and keep them up to date.

We verify your phone number before your first booking, because the venue will need to contact you and because it protects venues from fraudulent bookings.

You are responsible for anything done through your account.

5. Booking and prices

Selecting a slot places a temporary hold on it while the venue responds and while you pay. The hold expires, and the slot returns to sale, if either window passes.

All prices are in Bahraini Dinars and are set by Ahjez together with the venue. The price you see at checkout is the price that will be charged.

You pay a deposit online to confirm the booking, or the full amount where the venue has chosen that. Anything still owing is paid to the venue directly, on their terms.

Where a venue is registered for VAT, VAT is added to the price and shown separately before you pay. That VAT belongs to the venue.

A discount code reduces the price of the booking. Codes are offered by the venue, may be limited in number or time, and may be withdrawn.

6. Payment

Payments are processed by Tap Payments, a payment provider licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain. Ahjez never sees or stores your card number.

The venue's share of your payment is settled to the venue. Ahjez receives a commission on the booking, and that commission is the only money Ahjez earns from you.

If a payment fails, or arrives after the slot has been released, it is refunded in full automatically.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Every venue chooses a cancellation policy, and it is shown to you before you book. The refund is worked out automatically from that policy and the notice you give. Ahjez does not decide cancellations case by case.

If the venue cancels, or Ahjez cancels, you are refunded in full.

The full rules are on the cancellation and refunds page.

8. At the venue

You agree to follow the venue's house rules, occupancy limits and safety instructions, and you are responsible for your guests.

Any damage, loss or injury at the venue is a matter between you and the venue, and may be pursued by the venue directly against you.

9. Our responsibility

Ahjez is responsible for running the platform with reasonable care: showing accurate availability, taking payment correctly, and applying the venue's own cancellation policy as published.

Ahjez is not responsible for the venue itself — its premises, condition, cleanliness, staff, safety, licences, service, or anything that happens during your event. It is not responsible for a venue cancelling, closing, or failing to provide what it promised, beyond refunding what you paid through Ahjez under the policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by Bahraini law, Ahjez's total liability arising from a booking is limited to the commission Ahjez received on that booking. Ahjez is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost time, or the cost of arranging an alternative venue.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Events outside anyone's control

Neither Ahjez nor a venue is liable for failing to perform because of something beyond reasonable control: severe weather, a government decision, a public emergency, a utility or network failure, or similar. Where a booking cannot go ahead for such a reason, we will refund the deposit paid through Ahjez.

11. Reviews and content

You may review a venue you actually booked. Reviews must be honest and must not contain unlawful, abusive or personal content. We may remove a review that breaks these rules.

The Ahjez name, logo and site content belong to us and may not be copied or used without permission.

12. Support and disputes

All support goes through Ahjez, so there is one place to raise a problem. We will pass a complaint to the venue, explain what the policy says, and help the two sides reach a sensible outcome. Helping does not make Ahjez responsible for the outcome.

If a matter cannot be settled, it is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Bahraini courts.

13. Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that abuses the platform, makes fraudulent bookings, harms a venue or another customer, or breaks these terms.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Bookings already confirmed are governed by the terms that applied when they were made.

Questions about any of this? Contact Ahjez support and a person will answer you.
